BIO

 

My name is Alex Sealey. I am a music engineer and producer from South Wales. Currently studying an Audio Engineering and Production Masters Degree at University of Southwales . I have a wide range of talents that I can apply to almost any creative context. From playing guitar, bass or keyboard to designing logos and promoting events. I have experience in many different areas having played guitar for many years at grade 7 level, producing albums, promoting and engineering the Valleys Soundfest 2015, creating websites and using photoshop. My main passion lies in old school music production utilising modern twchniques.

My side hobbies include collecting records, collecting retro hi-fi equipment, finding and listening to any surround sound music I can (SACDs, Blu Rays, DVDs and Quadrophonic LPs) and going to lots of gigs!

Currently studying Masters of Science in Music Engineering and Production

Achieved Bachelor of Science in Music Technology with upper second class honours

Achieved BTEC level 3 in Music Technology with DDM Grades

Recording techniques: Musical techniques ranging from rock bands to orchestras to big band ensembles

Natural affinity for musical hardware: Mixing Desks, Yamaha LS9, Technics keyboards, extensive knowledge of Apple macs.      

Media application skills and intuition: Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, Final Cut X, Adobe CC, Mainstage 3, Max MSP.

Live music production skills: Mixing, managing, lighting and general hands.
